This project beautifully integrates FENIX Verde Comodoro in the kitchen cabinetry fronts and FENIX Bianco Kos in the island cabinet fronts, creating a seamless connection between modern architecture and nature-inspired elements.
Situated in a home with expansive floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, offering breathtaking views of Tasman Bay, the design aimed to strengthen the bond between the kitchen and the natural surroundings—the client's cherished retreat.
The client's vision centered around introducing earthy tones to the contemporary setting using a biophilic approach. Verde Comodoro and warm timber were chosen as the starting point, mirroring the canopy of trees from the adjacent parklands.
The abundance of natural light posed a unique challenge. FENIX was chosen to counterbalance this. Its superior UV performance and Ultra matt surface were ideal for the job, but also offer the perfect tones to harmonize the kitchen with the vibrant gardens.
The designer maximized every element of the kitchen, from mitered panels to bi-fold doors that cleverly conceal the appliance center, ensuring a seamless and unrestricted kitchen workspace.
According to the team at Bays Joinery, "The exceptional ease of working with FENIX to miter thickened panels was a standout feature. Its ability to manage extreme light was crucial." FENIX not only met but exceeded expectations, transforming the kitchen into a space that perfectly balances aesthetics and functionality.
The clients are effusive in their praise for FENIX, emphasizing its transformative impact on their kitchen. Its easy care and cleanliness align seamlessly with their vision of the perfect kitchen, marking the Taylor Kitchen Project as a resounding success.
